Download mia1 security patch for android 9

Just as it happened with last month's update, there's not much to say about the new firmware for the Xiaomi Mi A1. The update is quite small, as it has a bit over 54 MB in size. On completion, there's the same old message that says "Success! Your phone just got fresher and more secure" without any additional details.

The software details screen reveals that the security patch level, dated June 1, comes on top of a kernel that has been compiled on the 15th of the month. The few users who have already updated their phones and shared their thoughts on Reddit have nothing bad to say about the new firmware, although some were still hoping to get Android In the end, those who want to move forward and get Android 10 on their Xiaomi Mi A1 handsets will have to pick one of the existing third-party ROMs available for it.

I am planning to do this myself, but I will wait until Xiaomi decides to stop releasing these monthly security updates. Sadly, the patch comes on top of the old Android 9 core that will not get updated via the official channels. This is just my own opinion based on my knowledge of Android One support. What about Google pixel? Google Pixel has 4 years and Google still update the old phone Explain how pixel received Android 10? Android 7.

With Android One if your phone started with an Oreo then you are guaranteed to have an Android Mi A1 started with Nougat so it is guaranteed to have up to Android 9. IDK why you're expecting Android 10 for MiA1 at this point but if ever Xiaomi gives it to MiA1 then it's just an icing on a cake not something that anyone is entitled to get given what Android One support cycle is.

Dariussebyy replied at Bruh In first week of September Xiaomi won't provide any more security updates the third year of support will end. If they do not update mi A1 to Android 10 It will show to the world, that Xiaomi is like any brand in the market What's the consumer to buy, but they don't care about support That's why Apple iPhone is a success, the support to their costumers.

A MiA1 is still a good Smartphone. But meanwhile i am loosing my believe in Xiaomi. They do now the same thing like all the other manufacturers and bringing to many different unit to the market, so that support is hell for them. Especially if you have to produce updates for each phone separately. Google knows that too. Google updates the system, the chipset producer delivers the needed drivers and the manufacturer put it in their desktop. Works great for windows and Linux, why not for Android?

Fragmentation would never be a problem again. That's Xiaomi's actual top tablet and it didn't get any updates since So it has nothing to do with weak CPU's. These capabilities reduce the likelihood that security vulnerabilities could be successfully exploited on Android. In the sections below, we provide details for each of the security vulnerabilities that apply to the patch level.

Vulnerabilities are grouped under the component they affect. When multiple changes relate to a single bug, additional references are linked to numbers following the bug ID. Devices with Android 10 and later may receive security updates as well as Google Play system updates. The most severe vulnerability in this section could enable a local malicious application to bypass user interaction requirements in order to gain access to additional permissions.

The vulnerability in this section could enable a local malicious application to bypass operating system protections that isolate application data from other applications. The most severe vulnerability in this section could enable a local attacker using a specially crafted transmission to gain access to additional permissions.

The most severe vulnerability in this section could result in arbitrary kernel code execution due to a use after free. These vulnerabilities affect MediaTek components and further details are available directly from MediaTek.

The severity assessment of these issues is provided directly by MediaTek. The severity assessment of this issue is provided directly by Widevine DRM.

These vulnerabilities affect Qualcomm components and are described in further detail in the appropriate Qualcomm security bulletin or security alert. The severity assessment of these issues is provided directly by Qualcomm.

These vulnerabilities affect Qualcomm closed-source components and are described in further detail in the appropriate Qualcomm security bulletin or security alert. For some devices on Android 10 or later, the Google Play system update will have a date string that matches the security patch level. Please see this article for more details on how to install security updates. This bulletin has two security patch levels so that Android partners have the flexibility to fix a subset of vulnerabilities that are similar across all Android devices more quickly.

Android partners are encouraged to fix all issues in this bulletin and use the latest security patch level. Partners are encouraged to bundle the fixes for all issues they are addressing in a single update.

Entries in the Type column of the vulnerability details table reference the classification of the security vulnerability. Entries under the References column of the vulnerability details table may contain a prefix identifying the organization to which the reference value belongs.
